Womenswear
Shaws Department Stores have a refreshing spring summer collection which introduces the season through bright, colourful collections as seen at the shows of New York, Milan and Paris. Colour clashing is key this season with fuchsia, lime, orange and canary yellow offering a catwalk inspired, ultra modern look. Jacques Vert, Gelco and Planet have elegant pieces in zesty colours blocks. The collections have sophisticated feminine styles and elegant pieces including from Micheal H for special occasions.
Frills, embroidery, jewels and beading bring a feminine touch to block colour, and look fabulous on flowing maxi dresses as seen in the Bay collection. The denim scene is constantly changing and this season returns in a variety of styles from wide legged to super skinny and dark to bright. Black skinny jeans are a staple wardrobe piece for nights out while pastel and neon colours add colour without effort to an outfit during the day. Macs return with a ¾ length variation to the sleeves, available in neon green, yellow and pink from Warehouse.
Oversized bags from Brandwell and Gionni are a useful accessory to hold necessities for our Irish weather. Patent, metallic and animal prints in pastels to darker shades are available in a wide range of styles and designs. Dice and Oriano have variations of the clutch and continues to be a big trend this season, expanding to longer wider styles and solid framed styles.
Belts continue to be one of the hottest trends this season from wide to skinny that will work with almost any fashion trend. Plain to embellished, patent leather to metallics, use them to drape over dresses or pair with a cardigan or sweater – these are a fashion must-have to cinch in the waist.
A variety of lingerie available includes Triumph, Playtex and Ballet.
