Shaws Castlebar Now Open

Shaws Department Stores opened their new store in the Harlequin Centre, Castlebar on Thursday October 26th. This is the 14th Shaws store to open in Ireland, and after 140 years trading, the company's inaugural venture West of the Shannon.

Speaking about the opening, Jonathan Shaw, Managing Director of the Shaw Group said "After months of planning and significant investment by our company, we are thrilled the Castlebar project has finally come to fruition in a town that has seen tremendous growth in the last number of years. We are looking forward to growing our business with and catering for new customers in the Castlebar area with an extensive offering of top brands that Shaws stores are renowned for, along with a number of exciting new shop in shop."

With 22,000 sq feet of bright, modern retail space, Shaws of Castlebar will host a number of departments within the store including home wares, cosmetics, footwear, lingerie, ladies fashions and menswear. Shaws will maintain the high profile brand offering their name is synonymous with, including Newbridge Silverware, Waterford Crystal, Triumph and Playtex, Douglas and Grahame, Levis, Clarks and Ecco. As part of the retail experience at Shaws of Castlebar, the store will also host a number of premium concessions including Adams Kids, Dash, Eastex, Evans, Jacques Vert, Principles, Bay and Windsmoor.

Shaws Department Store, Harlequin Centre, Castlebar will be open 7 days, trading Sundays and Bank Holidays. Shaws celebrated its opening with an array of celebrations with face painting, balloon modeling, clowns and giveaways.
